Penticton wine tasting by bicycle
Tasting wine and riding on a gravel path away from the traffic. No better way to experience the view and the products.

We came prepared, a rental truck to carry our luggage and the bicycles. Our basecamp was at the Penticton Lakeside Resort, maybe three minutes away from the Kettle Valley Rail Trail. As it goes with rail trails, there are no steep sections. That is perfect for our undertaking.

To visit some of the vineyards, we had to go up to the road. It was more a personal preference than a requirement. We passed many places that are accessible from the rail trail.

The year before, we, the whole family, rode the rail trail. Good times were had with lasting memories. This was also the first time we visited Penticton.
There is more to this place than wine as we found out over the following years. In 2021, we were there with the trailer and conquered the Giant in Summerland, the Skaha Bluffs and many other fine establishments in Penticton as told in our Penticton in the Okanagan - A day in the life of two Jeepers and the wines of the Okanagan.
