Urban Sightseeing

Halifax, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, Shelburne, Peggy's Cove

Halifax Waterfront

Halifax harbour falcon at workWe spent most of the day at the Waterfront. Lots of shopping opportunities, places to eat and attractions to keep us entertained.

The bird is not there for show, the falcon is working. The call of the raptor keeps the seagulls away, pretty nifty.

Peggy's Cove

Peggy's Cove coastPeggy's Cove is a very busy place. We were there late in the afternoon and the parking lot was emptying. The fog didn't attract many tourists either. But still, very busy.

There is a charm to this place and should not be missed.

Shelburne

Shelburne house on dockShelburne was just across the bay from our camp site. We didn't spend enough time there to visit all the stores and places.

We visited both, Shelburne and Lockport.
Walking along the beach in Lockport will take some time, not only is it a good stretch, but also filled with the most colourful rocks you can imagine. We were to occupied by the pebbles and didn't take a picture.

Lunenburg and Mahone Bay
We drove into Lunenburg pulling our camping trailer. Not a good idea. Parking is almost impossible, so we didn't. The place was busy and seemed too commercialised.

Lunenburg

On the other hand, driving toward Lunenburg, we passed Mahone Bay. Now this is a place to stop. Ample of parking.
