This is an excellent starting point for a canoe trip. The boat launch area makes it easy to get the canoe and all the equipment ready. Bring your lunch, there are many places where you can relax in the shade and enjoy the scenery.

We visited the place with our canoe in 1992 and the bridge was still standing above water.
Every time we went back, a few more sections collapsed.
