Huntsville & Algonquin Park in January

Weekend in Huntsville and Algonquin Park

First trip in the new year. We came for the Fire And Ice skating extravaganza at Arrowhead PP, but turned around before we got stuck on the unexpected lineup to enter the park. We decided to enjoyed the night life in Huntsville and went to the movies. This was after we had the most delicious dinner in the On The Docks Pub.

Not much sunshine during our stay.

Snowshoeing in Algonquin It wasn't extremely cold. However, we could enjoy the whole spectrum of gray
We were starved of colours, so anything that was not gray was worth a picture.

The snow conditions didn't justify the snowshoes.
We hiked the Track And Tower trail to the Cache Lake. The decaying train bridge was almost hidden by the snow. Unless you know what to look for, it is not obvious at all.

We did encounter a marten on the Spruce Bog trail.
